If you'd like to stop by the shop to chat, get more information about our tours, or shop at our climbing gear retail store simply hop on our boat to Ao Nammao and we will pick you up free of charge! Tonsai to Railay Beach and Real Rocks Meeting Point:
Tonsai Bay is usually the first choice for climbers looking to stay somewhere cheap for a longer period of time. Tonsai has its charms of being more remote and isolated than its neighboring Railay, however getting to and between the crags at Railay can be difficult if the weather or tides don't cooperate. See first map as a reference. The most direct route to Railay is over the rocks at low tide (wear shoes to prevent cuts on oyster shells!) and/or scrambling over the cliff top path that connects Tonsai to the very end of Railay West which is roughly a 15 minute hike. The walking jungle path goes from Tonsai to Railay East and is roughly 35- 40 minutes. If you prefer not to hike or trek, hop on a long tail boat for a 5 minute ride which will cost you 50 THB per person (you will have to wait until there are 6-7 people to fill a boat.)
For customers staying in Tonsai we have a daily meeting point at the longtail boat ticket booth located on Railay West Beach at 8.45 am. We will bring the gear to you based on your measurements!. Book your course today, enter your hotel name and we will meet you there!
From Klong Muang to Ao Nammao, from Nong Thale or Tub Kaak:
Klong Muang is located directly to the north of Ao Nang/Noppharat Thara Beach on the coast, but the only road to get there is a 16 km drive inland from Ao Nang. Tubkaek is another 6 km drive north and the road ends here, at the entrance to the hiking trail and national park: Khao Ngon Nak. A lot of the exclusive 4 & 5 resorts are located here since the area offers remote quiet and pristine beaches. From Klong Muang to Ao Nammao Pier to Railay Beach it is 30 minutes by car one way; from Tub Kaak to Ao Nammao Pier to Railay Beach it is 45 minutes by car one way.
Real Rocks Climbing offers pick up and drop off service for customers in Klong Muang, Nong Thale or Tub Kaak, and our small transport fee is guaranteed to beat any rate you'll get from a taxi! Message us today with your hotel name, and we will respond immediately with the best price quote!
